Ideation

Ideation. Good design begins with research. It's hard to solve a problem when you don't even understand the question. Resource gathering and building personas are paramount in my design process. Before you can create a solution you must first understand the problem.

Iteration

Iteration. Good design is a living process, and you have to be willing to evolve with it. Don't cling to solutions that don't work, realize that 80% of your designs will be in the bin at the end of the day.

Inclusivity

Inclusivity. Good design is inclusive. As designers part of our job is to design for inclusivity, good design can create opporunities to level the playing field for more marginalized groups. This is first and foremost why I became a designer.

In case you hadn't figured it out - all three people pictured below are the same person: me. This is simply a joke in order to illustrate that I have many skills. Aside from drawing nested boxes and over analyzing typography I also enjoy creating illustrations and building web applications.
